Our Purpose

As a lot of synthesizers begin showing their age, our goal is to keep them active in making music. While our collection started many years earlier, SynthArk was established in 2009 as a means to preserve synthesizer heritage via restoration and sampling.

This site is dedicated to the memory of Tim Smith of Weyer/Smith Labs and the Audio Clinic (see Keyboard Feb 1994 issue), for his guidance, inspiration and sparking interest in this project.
